Installation
Open Program Manager 'File - New - Program' and Browse for PERFMAN.EXE in
the directory you choosed.
Start PERFMAN.
On the first start you will be asked for GP2.EXE.
If you load an unknown Version of GP2, then PerfMan will try to find the
Data. This process can take a view minutes.
BE SURE TO USE THE ORIGINAL (Unpatched) VERSION OF GP2 BEFORE THIS STARTS
OR IT MIGHT NOT WORK.
If you have an unknown Version of GP2, that works with PERFMAN, please
Email me your PERFMAN.INI found in the Windows directory. The Email should
also contain the Version i.e. GP2, Italian, Version 1.0b.
So you can help to develope PERFMAN.
Now you are ready to use PERFMAN.
!! IMPORTANT !!
- Be sure to have a backup of your relevant files in the case of something
went wrong.
- If it will not work, please look online on the Troubleshouting page before
you will contact me.
- If you will use another Version of GP2, please delete your PERFMAN.INI
before using PerfMan again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes
Some of the changes (the car numbers) will not take any effect if the file
'F1gstate.sav' still exists in your GP2 directory. So delete this file
before starting GP2.
In 'F1gstate.sav' GP2 saves the calibration of your joystick, the records
and so on.
The Car-number 1 will appear as Car#0 in GP2 - this can not be changed.
If you enter #0 for a car, that car will NOT appear in GP2.
There has to be a minimum of 26 cars in the field.
After changing the Car's numbers you have to Edit the Teams and Drivers in
GP2 - this will not be done by PerfMan.
- i.e. if you decide to put Ferrari on #1 and #2 and Williams on #27 and
#28 then Alesi/Berger will drive Williams #27/#28 and Hill/Coulthard will
drive Ferrari #0/#2.
All Menus are based on the original order of the teams ( or the JAM's).
